Please be in prayer for the Chamblin family. Mrs. Christine Chamblin passed away early this morning. Mrs. Chamblin will be taken to Florida to be buried with her late husband.

Prayer Event for Our Military

Pike County American Legion Post 197 and Prayer Power of Georgia will sponsor a monthly time at the Veteran’s Memorial on the Pike County Courthouse grounds, this time will be to offer thanks and prayers for the men and women serving in our Military. The first Monday of each month at 12:00 pm (noon) starting March 1, 2010, you are invited to gather at the Veteran’s Memorial for a focused time to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who have served, and seek protection for those who are serving. Pike County American Legion Post #197 will provide the military circumstances to recognize and honor our military, while Prayer Power of Georgia will provide the spiritual support.
All are invited to participate.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Friends and Family,
Can you please say prayers for Eddie O’Hayre. He is a friend of my daughters and lives in Mooresville, NC. He was laid off from Jr. Motorsports (Dale Earnhart, Jr) Racing in December. Eddie fell off his roof yesterday while doing repair and will have surgery today. It is very serious. He is married and has two children.

UPDATE - CONTINUED PRAYER NEEDED

Thank you and please continue to keep my mother-in-law Sue Terry and family in your prayers. Her kidneys are still not improving like they had hoped. She has decided to at these try dialysis for a few weeks to see what it will be like. If she changes her mind at anytime the Dr. will call hospice in. Thank you again!

PRAYER REQUEST

If you would please pray for my mother-in-law Sue Terry. She is in the hospital now and the Dr .is saying that her kidneys are only working at 10% at best, she will either have to go on dialysis or wait for total kidney failure. Sue has to make this decision in the next few days. Please pray for God's will for her, her decision, and the family during the next few days. I will update ASAP. Your prayers are deeply appreciated.

Valentine's Day

Even though Valentine’s Day was created more for the merchants of the world, it is a wonderful way to focus our thoughts on love and caring for our fellow man. Christ told us love is the greatest of all. Our prayer today is that each of you has some one to share love with today, and that we share that love every day of the year. Roses and chocolate may be a symbol of love, but in a few days they will be gone. Give love wrapped in kindness every day to every one. There is no greater gift than a kind gesture inspired by love.

Prayer has been requested for the Pike County School System. Many hard decisions will have to be made over the next several weeks and months that will effect everyone involved in the school system.
Pray for the members of the Board of Education, the Superintendent, the administrators, the teachers, and all the other school staff.

Please pray for Emmalee Grace. She's a 5 month old just diagnosed with atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) which is a lethal infant cancer. These tumors came up in a matter of days. She lives in Kentucky & is the granddaughter of Bill's 1st cousin. They're currently at Kosair in Kentucky where they've begun 3 types of chemo. They will travel to Cincinnati, OH on Tuesday to meet with an AT/RT specialist. Please pray for the doctors, Emmalee, parents, & grandparents.

Hello all, please pray for for us. We are a family of mother and twelve children. Our brother was shot at close range in the head and died on the spot. There was only one witness...our mother! Please pray for us, for this senseless crime in a little country called Belize. My poor mother cradled her dying son on the ground in a pool of Blood, but he was gone. This is very devastated for us, since our father passed some twenty something years ago, and since then we made it to now. We have often grieved with other families and friends, but this time hits home. Please pray for us. God Bless you all...
