VALENTINE’S DAY PRAYER

Our father in heaven we thank you for your love and grace. On this day that we celebrate love and relationships between man and woman, we pray that you bring about love, trust, and faithfulness in all people in all relationships.

As you have set the most important commandment for us is to love God and to love others as ourselves, give us a revival throughout the world of brotherly love and love for you. On this day dedicated to love, embolden us to reach out to those around us to proclaim and demonstrate your love in deeds, but also to lift up all those in the world who have not yet come to know you and your love that they will soften their hearts and open their minds to you.

We pray for the sanctity of life and for the countless babies that have been sent to you prematurely. We pray that the world will realize your will for the protection of life. We pray for the family unit as you established it, one man and one woman, united as one flesh.

Unconditional love is the greatest gift that can be given or received, and on this day for expressing our love, we pray we will pour out love in both prayer and works for your glory.

In the name of our savior, Jesus Christ,
AMEN

PRAY FOR A CURE FOR CANCER

Almost everyday we receive prayer requests for people with cancer. This dreaded disease has reached epidemic scale through out the world. Granted, in many ways we have brought this situation on ourselves by what we do, what we eat, and our lifestyles, but if we do not get a handle on the cure and prevention we can only look forward to even great numbers of people suffering with this affliction.
We ask that you add the prayer for a cure for cancer to your daily prayers. We know that if we ask, God will hear and respond. God may answer with a medicine, or maybe by leading us away from the causes of the disease, in any case we must pray mankind out of this scourge called cancer.

PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY AND NEW PRESIDENT

Our nation has witnessed a great historic event. The first black man to be elected to the highest office of our country. President-elect Obama is to be congratulated on his accomplishment, and given all the honor the office of president deserves.
As Christians, we must keep in mind that President-elect Obama is probably the most liberal person who has ever ascended to this office. His position on abortion, his stand for the homosexual agenda, his views on entitlements and government supported programs, and his incognizant foreign policy could move this country in to an era that may transform the very fiber of what the founding fathers envisioned.
As Christians, we must remember we are to keep the faith, we are to pray for those in authority, and we are to continue our mission, The Great Commission. God remains in control, God is unfolding His plan for our country, God uses every thing for His purpose, and we need to step up and double our efforts in prayer and reaching the lost to ensure we are fulfilling our purpose in God’s will. Please, make a commitment to join us in prayer every day for our president, that he will bow down to God and seek His will in all things. Also, that as Christians, we will boldly display and share the truth with the world.

Election 2008

Every election the pundits say is the most important election. Maybe they are right in so much as each presidency brings us a step closer to losing our national identity as defined by those who brought this country in to existence. The lines of political parties and platforms intercede more and more until our vision is so blurred by minor person characteristics and appearance we over look the over riding issues that wait to destroy this country.

Hold up each candidate to the light of God's word and see which one shines and which one withers.

Seek God's advice on your vote. God has His selection for each of the offices.

Words for life

Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you...

Need to be rescued?

"Sacrifice unto your Lord and pay your vows unto the Most High. Then you call upon Me in your time of trouble, for I will come and rescue you, because it will give Me honor."
— Psalm 50:14-15
